Mortgage insurance is taken out with Genworth Financial Mortgage Insurance Limited (Portugal Branch). It guarantees the payment of an indemnity to the bank for any losses it may incur on the sale or legal repossession of property deriving from a borrower’s default. The premium is paid as a lump sump when purchasing the property. |
